What to Bring

This list is based on a 5 Day course.  If you are here for the weekend or longer than 5 days then please adjust the numbers of items you bring accordingly.

Single Sheet, Sleeping Bag and Pillow (if not provided as part of package)
Trousers/Tracksuit bottoms (warm & durable – avoid jeans) x 2/3
T Shirts (Thermal Tops or Nylon football shirt material ideal) x 4/5
Changes of Underwear
Torch (plus spare batteries)
Warm Hat & Gloves
Large Polythene Bag for dirty laundry
Slippers/Sliders/ Other suitable footwear for use indoors at the centre.
Nightclothes
Towels x 2
Wash kit (toothpaste/brush, shampoo/conditioner, shower gel/soap, other toiletries as needed)
Warm Jumpers x 3
Thick socks (to wear with Hiking boots/Wellies) x 5.  Make sure they cover ankles!
Shorts (to wear over wet suit if Gorge Walking).
Personal First Aid kit (including plasters)
Warm Jacket
Old Trainers
Change of clothes for evenings when in centre
Insect Repellent and Sun Cream and Sun Hat (Summer Months)
  • Please note that some of the activities involve getting wet and dirty and you need to bear this in mind when choosing clothing to bring. All personal belongings should be clearly marked with the owner’s name. We cannot be held responsible for lost items of clothing.
  • Maes y Lade will provide all specialist equipment, including waterproof jackets and trousers, walking boots, day sacks and other specialist clothing such as wet suits etc.
