Maes y Lade Centre – Tregoyd, Brecon, Powys, LD3 0SS – 01497 847236
DIRECTIONS FROM M4
After crossing the Second Severn Crossing or Severn Bridge, leave the motorway at junction 24 and take the A449 signposted to The Midlands (M50) and Monmouth. Continue on this dual carriage way for approximately 10 miles, until you come to an exit road on the left signposted to Abergavenney on the A40.
Take this junction and continue on the A40 (passing Raglan Castle on your right), to the outskirts of Abergavenney and a large roundabout. Continue to follow all the signs for the A40 towards Brecon. Nine miles out of Abergavenney you will go through the market town of Crickhowell and approximately 6 miles after this you will come to a turning on the right hand side, marked A479/A470 and signposted to Builth Wells. Take this turning and continue over the mountain road to Talgarth. At the roundabout take the second exit and immediately past the Castle Inn (on the left) take the turning on the right hand side. (Signposted to Hereford and Leominster).
After approximately 1 mile take the small turning on the right signposted to Felindre, and follow this narrow, winding country lane to the village of Felindre. Continue straight on through the village, (past the Three Horseshoes Pub on your right, and the village hall and telephone box on your left).
Once you leave the village, take the first turning on your right – signposted to Newcourt Farm – and continue up this narrow lane for 2 miles. Maes y Lade is situated on the right hand side near the top.
FOR COACHES
Please note that the lane up to Maes y Lade is not accessible for coaches. Groups travelling by coach should call the centre when they come through Crickhowell, and they will be met at the bottom of the lane or nearby village hall car park (LD30SZ) by our staff.
