Maes Y Lade Centre

Winter Skills Weeks take place each year in the snowy mountains of Scotland, with courses running in both January and early March. During these weeks, participants venture into the mountains daily to learn or refine essential winter mountaineering skills.

Training includes the use of crampons and ice axes, winter navigation, rope work, snow craft, snow holing, and much more. For some, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience; for others, it becomes an adventure they return to year after year. Either way, by the end of the week you can expect to feel more confident, capable, and proficient in your personal mountain skills.
